About the conference
The aim of the conference is to present the current influence of third parties on EU member states and the Czech Republic, to analyse the objectives, forms, methods and effects of selected operations of totalitarian secret services from the perspective of history and to compare them with the present. From the perspective of contemporary experts, to outline a view of the development after the fall of communism in Europe, to present the tools of the rule of law in the fight and prevention of harmful influence on society.
Information warfare is a historical phenomenon as old as warfare itself. Targeted information warfare was extensively used during the Cold War, and has since been an integral part of modern hybrid warfare, which is a combination of military and non-military measures of a covert and overt nature, deployed to destabilise the political, economic and social situation of a country under attack, without a formal declaration of war, targeting not only partners of the EU, but also the EU itself, its institutions and all Member States and citizens irrespective of their nationality and religion. O konferenci
Konference si klade za cíl přiblížit současné vlivové působení třetích stran na členské země EU a Českou republiku, z pohledu historie analyzovat cíle, formy, metody a dopady vybraných operací totalitních tajných služeb a jejich srovnání se současností. Z pohledu současných expertů nastínit pohled na vývoj po pádu komunismu v Evropě, prezentovat nástroje právního státu v boji a prevenci proti škodlivému vlivovému působení na společnost.
Informační válka je historickým jevem starým jako samotné válčení. Cílená informační válka byla během studené války hojně využívána a od té doby je nedílnou součástí moderní hybridní války, která je kombinací vojenských a nevojenských opatření skryté i otevřené povahy, jež jsou používána k destabilizaci politické, hospodářské a sociální situace země, na kterou se útočí, aniž by došlo k oficiálnímu vyhlášení války, a jejichž terčem nejsou pouze partneři EU, ale také samotná EU, její orgány a všechny členské státy a občané bez ohledu na jejich státní příslušnost a náboženské vyznání.
