March 7, Wroclaw – Last week, President of the Platform Mr Marek Mutor paid a visit to the Śląskie Centrum Wolności i Solidarności (Silesian Freedom and Solidarity Centre) in Katowice, our Polish member admitted to the Platform in December 2023. Mr Mutor had a fruitful conversation with the Director of the Centre Mr Robert Ciupa, and one of the discussion topics was the Center’s increased involvement in the Platform’s activities. Exciting preliminary arrangements were made for our future joint projects.

Among the tasks of the Silesian Freedom and Solidarity Centre is conducting exhibitions at the Commemoration Museum of ‘Wujek’ Coal Mine, promoting freedom and anti-totalitarian ideas. The exposition is housed in a former coal mine warehouse. On 16 December 1981, it witnessed tragic incidents of martial law.
