Platform once again a partner of the NNW festival in Gdynia

Gdynia, 29 September – On 29 September, an expert discussion took place as part of the 15th NNW International Film Festival, which takes place in Gdynia from 27-30 September.

The discussion entitled “How to tell the world about totalitarianism? ” featured speakers Dr. Marek Mutor, Chairman of the Platform, Dr. Karol Nawrocki, Chairman of the Instytut Pamięci Narodowej, Dr. Marcin Zarzecki, Chairman of the Polish National Foundation, Dr. Réka Földváryné Kiss, Chairwoman of the Hungarian Memory Committee, Mr. Ganbaatar Adiya, former Ambassador of Mongolia to Poland, and Mr. Krzysztof Flizak, retired US Army Captain.

The consensus in the discussion was clear: this effort cannot rest on the shoulders of one individual or institution alone, but must be a joint effort. However, this active process should be based on historical research.

The Platform has been a proud partner of the NNW Festival for many years, organising discussions and providing a special Platform Award for the film that best brings to life the reality of life under totalitarianism. Our participation in this year’s NNW Festival is possible thanks to the cooperation with the Centrum Historii Zajezdnia and the support of the Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego.
