Platform’s Special Award at the 14th NNW Film Festival in Poland

Gdynia – 3 October – The Platform Supervisory Board member and Deputy Chairman of the Warsaw Rising Museum Dr Paweł Ukielski handed over the Special Award of the Platform of European Memory and Conscience (PEMC) at the 14th Unruly Unbreakable Cursed International Film Festival (Festiwal Filmowy NNW) in Gdynia which was held between 28 September – 1 October 2022.

A distinction was awarded at the closing gala to the film “The forgotten border of Europe” directed by Oliver Halmburger. The Main Award festival winner was Kevin Macdonald for his “The Mauretańczyk” docuemmntary.This year’s special award “Doors of Freedom” went to Czech historian Petr Blažek from the Twentieth Century Memorial Museum in Prague, co-creator of the similar Prague festival “Unbreakable and sacrificial”.

The NNW Film Festival is the oldest film festival in Poland and on the film map of Europe addressed to artists and all communities that are interested in history and the PEMC has been its partner for several years.
