Prague, 10 May – A Lithuanian delegation led by H.E. Laimonas Talat-Kelpša, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Czech Republic, Mrs. Asta Skaisgirytė, Head of the Foreign Policy Group and Senior Advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, and Sigitas Mitkus, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, visited the Platform’s Prague office on May 10.

The discussion with Mr. Peter Rendek, Managing Director of the Platform, took place in the context of the upcoming Czech EU Presidency in 2022. The ongoing projects of the Platform at the domestic and international level were presented and the Lithuanian side expressed its willingness to assist in the implementation of the objectives of the Platform. The debate continued on the importance of the politics of memory against the background of the war in Ukraine.

This was the second meeting with senior Lithuanian officials in a short period of time. The first meeting with a delegation from the Lithuanian Parliament took place on 8 April in Prague.
