Prague, April 28 – An online presentation of the second edition of Lest We Forget to University of Minnesota experts was held on April 28. The seminar and presentation was led by the book’s editor, Ms. Neela Winkelmann. She spoke to a group of professors and scholars from the University of Minnesota’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies as part of the “Mass Violence and Human Rights” seminar series. The event was moderated by Ms Tibisay Navarro-Mana, assistant professor and doctoral student (history), and organized by Tomaž E. O’Donoghue (Platform intern).
Speakers from the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies (CHGS) included Alejandro Baer, Stephen C. Feinstein Chair and Director of the CHGS, Professor, Department of Sociology; Joe Eggers, Assistant Director of CHGS; Nikoleta Sremac, Research Assistant, and PhD Student (Sociology); Dr Ana Ferreira, professor of Literatures and Cultures in Portuguese at University of Minnesota, Todd Schroer, Chair of Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Department and Associate Professor of Sociology & Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Department of the University of Southern Indiana College of Liberal Arts.
A lively question and answer session followed the presentation of the reader and the story of its creation.
